A guided mindfulness photography walk around Hylton Castle, using mobile phones to capture images while slowing down and noticing details such as light, texture and nature. Simple mindfulness prompts support relaxation and positive mental wellbeing, combining gentle movement, creativity and time outdoors.

Arrival / general info to include

  • Refreshments on arrival (tea/coffee) from 9:30am
  • Registration: 9:30am–10:00am
  • We will also have a couple of stall holders downstairs (e.g., Links for Life, Citizens Advice etc.) to support attendees
  • Accessibility: There is a lift available within the castle
  • Parking: Parking is available at the castle and next to the castle

Activity Descriptions

Castle Floor 2
10:00am – Silent Disco Active Forever (30 spaces) 40 minute slot
A fun, feel-good silent disco session using headphones, encouraging movement at your own pace. This can be done seated if preferred, making it accessible for all abilities.

11:00am – Line Dancing (30 spaces) 40 minute slot
A friendly line dancing session with easy-to-follow steps, suitable for all abilities and a great way to stay active and social.

12:00pm – Afternoon Tea Buffet Style & Refreshments Slot 1 (40 people)
A relaxed buffet-style afternoon tea with refreshments, served as the first lunch sitting.

1:00pm – Afternoon Tea Buffet Style & Refreshments Slot 2 (40 people)
A relaxed buffet-style afternoon tea with refreshments, served as the second lunch sitting.

Castle Floor 3
10:00am – Guided Meditation & Sound Bath
A calming guided meditation followed by soothing sound therapy to support relaxation and wellbeing.

11:00am – Seated/Standing Yoga
A gentle yoga session with seated and standing options, focused on mobility, breathing and balance.

12:00pm – Seated/Standing Pilates
A low-impact pilates session to improve strength, posture and core stability, with options for all abilities.

1:00pm – Guided Meditation & Sound Bath
A calming guided meditation followed by soothing sound therapy to support relaxation and wellbeing.
