We developed an exciting and innovative 6 week programme that AIMS to inform people about healthy eating and motivate families and children into being more active together in a fun and exciting way. Using a mix of interactive presentations, easy to follow fitness workouts and fun cooking sessions complete with recipes and food parcels, the programme can be delivered online or in small (safe and socially distanced) groups. Perfect for families and small school groups, the programme has successfully worked in partnership with the Coalfields Area Committee, The Foundation of Light (GOGA) and The Rainbow Centre Washington.
Our fun and innovative active schools programme encourages children to move more and eat well whilst promoting an overall healthy lifestyle.

Yoga is one of our most popular school sessions as it allows the children to connect with themselves and find some calm in their stressful school life. Sessions are especially good for those studying for exams in Year 6 but yoga is for all ages! Lauren has taught yoga in schools for many years now and has a great relationship with the current pupils and staff!
If you'd like to book in a 1 hour free taster with Lauren then please drop us an email at email@example.com
Government guidelines recommend that all children should receive at least 60 minutes of physical exercise everyday with 30 minutes being delivered in school every day through active break times, PE, extra-curricular clubs, active lessons, or other sport and physical activity events, with the remaining 30 minutes supported by parents and carers outside of school time.
Kids who are active will:
have a leaner body
Besides enjoying the health benefits of regular exercise, kids who are physically fit sleep better. They're also better able to handle physical and emotional challenges — from running to catch a bus to studying for a test.
St Aidan's Catholic Academy booked us in for 5 days of activities with their pupils to help with their transition from primary school into secondary school. Because of Covid these pupils had not had a chance to visit the school until this week and many of them had never met before as they have all come from different schools across Sunderland. We had a range of activities such as football, yoga, gardening, bootcamp, kangoo, basketball, archery, golf and each day was always different so they could try new things. At the end of every day each pupil went home with a bag of food to create a healthy recipe at home. Take a look at our video to see what went on in this fantastic week!
Here is some comments from the teachers and staff at St Aidan's Catholic Academy about how they found our 5 day camp!

I just wanted to say a big thank you to both of you for today. I have
spoke to staff and children and all have nothing but positive feedback
for the sessions. They have loved it. Please let me know if you can do
the dates for after Easter as the staff will love it. Thank you
again for today and it was lovely meeting you both.
Yoga is going very well. All the children I talk with, say that they get a lot from it. I know the after school club is very well attended.

We have had another fab yoga day. Thanks so much for changing instructors at the last minute - we wouldn't have minded waiting (I hope the office told you that on the phone when you rang last night).
The children have all been really positive again about the sessions. I teach y6 and some of my girls are funny about PE but they were really enthusiastic and spoke very positively about the yoga session today. I could see they were enjoying the session as I was watching them take part (while trying to bend myself into impossible positions ha ha!). Everyone enjoyed their session and the children have asked when we can do it again!
The staff session after school was also really positive and we all commented on how relaxed we felt before leaving for the weekend. 8 of us took part and it is something we will definitely look into doing again.
Active Schools came in to deliver yoga sessions to all years groups from Reception to Year 6. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience, as did the staff! The benefit to the children was immediately apparent and the experienced staff delivered the sessions in a very professional manner. I would highly recommend Jittabugs and will be using them again in the near future.

The children at Oxclose Primary Academy absolutely loved their free taster session. All children were on task and engaged for the full time, The fact that it could be linked to our current topic made it even more enjoyable for them. As the teacher it enabled me to make links with several areas of the Early Years curriculum.
Parent and Child Feedback
"Thoroughly enjoyed it, great for the whole family"
"Fab yoga with Kelly, both kids and adults involved"
"Had a lovely time doing yoga with Abbie, the instructor was fab"
