Bringing wellbeing into local communities

The Well Bean Machine is a mobile community wellbeing service that brings activity, conversation and connection directly into neighbourhoods, streets and community spaces.

From gentle outdoor exercise sessions to doorstep chats and pop-up wellbeing events, it offers a flexible, grassroots way to support people where they are — one cup of tea and one conversation at a time.

The Well Bean Machine can support communities across the North East and beyond, especially ageing well projects and areas where engagement is low.

Through outdoor movement, printed newsletters, local drop-ins and friendly conversations, it helps older adults stay active, connected and informed while building local networks that can make a real difference. Interested in bringing the Well Bean Machine to your area or project? We’d love to talk.

This was my first event I attended. I was there for the full day and it was great from start to finish. The staff were so lovely and friendly and really helpful! There was always someone there to help or give information about your next activity. It was really well planned and organised and can’t wait to get a long to another activity!

What a great day we had at the Spring event. Thoroughly enjoyed the yoga session on the beach and the dip in the sea. The mini afternoon tea was just enough and there was plenty of drinks offered throughout the day. Enjoyed the pilates and sound bath sessions too and the fun bongo bingo session to close the day. Very well organized and all team very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a lovely day.
